I’ve been making my Thankful list for at least 5 years, dating back to Xanga and Myspace days. It’s a good way of reminding myself what great people I have in my life. Your support is what keeps me going when I’m on the road. I am thankful for you all. I’ve been able to take this year and the people I’ve met (Thailand, Croatia, New York, East Coast).
My family: I may not always say it, but I’ve got the best family in the world. Even if they don’t understand my constant need for wanderlust, they’ve always got my back. My grandparents are world travelers themselves, so they’ve been especially supportive of my adventures (including financially). My other set of grandparents are avid readers of my blog and keep me in their prayers constantly. My parents, although always sad to see me go, want me to live my dreams. And my sisters have the same travel desires I do, just for different destinations.
My friends: It’s been hard having my friends scattered all over the country (and world), but I couldn’t do it without technology. My home friends keep me sane when I want to jump out of my skin. My Charleston loves know just how to cheer me up. And I can’t imagine what I would do without my emails from Sarah Harvey!

Bloggers and fellow travelers: I know it sounds weird, but starting this blog has brought me some great friends. I love any opportunity to meet up with fellow bloggers. What started as an email friendship went IRL this year when I finally had the pleasure of meeting Andi of My Beautiful Adventures. She gives great advice on everything from relationships to destinations and always knows how to keep me positive. I’ve been blessed to meet my fellow Atlanta Travel Tweeters. I get to talk travel with new friends who understand where I’m coming from. Alison of Ali’s Adventures has been a great person to get to know. She’s been everywhere I’m dying to go. There are so many amazing bloggers that have been supportive of me and CITC and I adore you all!
And last, but far from least, I am thankful for you, the readers. If it weren’t for you, there would be no Caroline in the City. Happy Thanksgiving!

Man. I totally forgot about thankful lists. I did one when I was like 15, i think? And then a bunch of other people did it too. I've stopped doing it (maybe I should bring it back this year) but every year I'm surprised by seeing random people from my past putting up their thankful lists.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am on the road traveling, spending the holiday in a hotel in San Francisco!
