If you want to know what I’m bringing with me on my trip to Australia, here you have it. Since I have no idea how long I will be gone I want to be prepared, but since it’s summer down under, I won’t need nearly as much clothing. It’s not an RTW trip, so I’m not worried about changes in climate, therefore I substituted traditional items for things I didn’t want to give up, like books and journals. You can also check out my packing list from my month-long trip to Croatia and Thailand in Summer 2010 here.

Looove the world map bikini! Super cute!!! How many days till you leave?
Haha its a US map, but it’s not the least bit accurate! It has Nevada next to Illinois! People always stare at the goods while I wear it. Like they’re studying “geography” lol.
A little over a week! So excited!
Isn’t is great to finally have it all sorted and know what you’re bringing?!
SES is a great place to pick up new clothes at a low price while you’re here should you need (or want!) more.
Hoping we can meet sometime between you arriving and me leaving Sydney for a road trip :-)
Thanks for the tips! I will DEFINITELY need a shopping trip at some point! I will be there the week of Australia Day and back in Sydney at some point. Can’t wait to meet up!

What about your vintage Gameboy? Did it make the list?
It got left behind at the last minute, after I realized I’ve never made it past the second level! Haha
Wow, thanks for featuring our packing list. Well, Liz’s at least. ;)
I second Andi, that US map bathing suit does rock. I’m also curious to find out if you’ve ever traveled with a T1i or DSLR before and if so, what was your experience. Also, which lenses are you bringing along with you?
P.S. — Good luck on your trip, and safe travels!
P.S.S. — Loving the site layout, great work!

Haha sorry I picked Liz’s because us females tend to back too much and her list was the perfect length!
I traveled with a T1i last summer in Thailand and Croatia in my Lowepro Slingshot 100. I only have one lens, a pretty small one, so I used that the whole time without trouble. Sometimes I used my Canon Powershot instead because it didn’t take up quite as much room.
Thanks!
