Favorite Travel Memories: Montreal

September 7, 2010 by Caroline 2 Comments

Most of what made me fall in love with Montreal was its likeness to any European city without being as far away or as expensive. Oh yeah and this breakfast place called Eggspectations that changed my life, but that’s another story. But what Paris doesn’t have is Mont Royal.

My old roommate Scotti and I bought some baguettes and beer for the climb up the Frederick Law Olmsted wonder. I lost count of the number of stairs, but the city panorama was worth it. But what made it even more worth it was the cafe’s hot chocolate that immediately warmed me back up before we walked back down the hill into the urban jungle.
