Fall season is upon us and the apples are ready for harvest. Rachel, the parents and I drove up to Ellijay on Saturday for some forced family fun…sort of. There are a lot of places to pick apples, but we went to Hillcrest Orchards.
The trees are sorted by type of apple: gala, golden delicious and so on. And unauthorized apple pickers will be prosecuted. Just check out the guy hanging on the sign. Pretty morbid for a family friendly joint.

The cider was delicious, as were the apples. Go grab yourself some. And make me a pie with them.
