Packing for a Trip to Europe

My Travel Style

Packing for my upcoming trip to Europe has been a bit of a struggle. I usually travel in extreme seasons, either in the summertime when I know I will be living in my swimsuit, or in winter when I need heavy coats and scarves.

But this trip will be from early September to mid October and cover both coastal Porto and mountainous Munich. I’m packing in my Osprey Sirrus 36 L backpack and using my mom’s Kelty day pack.

Clothing

  • 3 pairs of pants: 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of stretch black pants, 1 pair of ExOfficio Roughian capri
  • 1 pair of leggings
  • 1 ExOfficio Dri Fit black dress
  • 1 grey Ann Taylor Loft skirt
  • 1 pair of pajama shorts
  • 1 pair of tights
  • 2 tank tops: 1 ExOfficio Dri Carbonite sleeveless tee, 1 Banana Republic purple
  • 3 long sleeved shirts: 1 ExOfficio Shirtigan, 1 Cotton On long sleeved shirt, 1 ExOfficio Chica Cool turtleneck
  • 2 short sleeved shirts: 1 solid white, 1 black design, 1 ExOfficio Go-To Boatneck Cap Sleeve Shirt
  • bras, underwear, socks
  • 1 Black Zara top
  • 1 black cardigan
  • 1 ExOfficio Chica Cool Long Sleeved Hoody
  • 1 ExOfficio Storm Logic Sweater Jacket (seen here rolled up into a travel pillow)
  • 2 scarves: Old Navy and Vagabond teal
  • 1 baseball hat
  • 1 swimsuit
  • 1 sarong
  • 1 belt
  • 1 pair of sunglasses

Shoes

  • 1 pair of Rip Curl flip flops
  • 1 pair of Merrell Women Barefoot Pace Glove Shoe
  • 1 pair of black flats
  • 1 pair of black boots

    Wow, I was so surprised when I heard what bag you were taking! Is that all carryon? I’m wavering between a carryon sized bag or a slightly bigger one for my own travels …

    I’d really like to see how this all fits into your bag. One of the major things that’s going to take up space in my bags is a travel hair dryer and straightener. I have frizzy, unruly hair.
